Scene: I am sitting on the sofa, watching Bones.

C: (Walks in, sees gross corpse on TV) EVERY TIME I walk in here!

Me: (helpfully) It's a dead guy that was fished out of the river.

C: All you wanna see is dead gooey corpses and all I wanna watch is boobs. Why are we even together?

My husband is sympathetic to poor beleaguered Charlie Sheen, and I have discovered the treasure trove that is Paula Deen Riding Things, and that's not even obscene like it sounds.

Now I'm going to go back to sighing longingly for a Bones season where Brennan liked Massive Attack and Snow Patrol (and everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt).

Am I the only one who just doesn't get the appeal of the whole hate sex/angry sex thing? I mean, if I'm furious, or I hate you, sexytiemz are the absolute LAST thing on my mind.

Good to see you again, Show That I Fell In Love With.  It's been awhile.  World Series hiatus notwithstanding, don't stay away so long next time, okay?  I missed you.

The ending did not surprise me, though it felt disappointingly anticlimactic. Emily Deschanel said something along the lines of the subtlest things having a big impact; all I can say is that remains to be seen next season, as what we got tonight was blink-and-you'd-miss-it subtle. Part of it, anyway. Sunday was spent here, playing pirate. I must admit that hanging over the quarter deck railing, shooting black powder (blanks, of course) at approaching marauders, was fun.
